I was found in our forever wishes and talk of hope . . .

There are many gifts in life—
some come as surprises
and others come as hope.
With twenty heartfelt wishes
or merely, in the blink of an eye,
life goes too quickly by.
But the moon and I knew—
you were there beside me
on life’s troubled shores.
You held my hand
until I could safely step away
across a moonlit bay.
In the setting sun or a rising moon—
we only knew
glimmers of who we would become.
But you—
You knew intuitively,
and accepted me, entirely for who I was.
On forever wishes, between the love and hate of this world—
We chose love, upon a bright-blue skyday
in only a half-moon moment away.
We knew!
