some come as surprises
others come as hope
with twenty heartfelt wishes
or merely twenty blinks of an eye
life goes too quickly by
but the moon & I know
you were there beside me
on my troubled shores
you held my hand
until I could safely step
across the moon lit bay
in a setting sun or rising moon
I only knew
glimmers of what I was suppose to be
but you
you intuitively understood
who I am
I was found in forever wishes & hope
upon this bright-blue sky day
in only a half-moon moment away!

This is lovely. It seems viewed through the eyes of someone terminally ill. Very nice message of a special bond between two friends:
“but you
you intuitively understood
who I am”
The last line, though a wee bit sad, also feels like the person was wrapped in a blanket of love:
“I was found in forever wishes & hope”
