Spring

Good morning from the lakeside deck ~

Arkansas Rains today ~ you know, those gentle rains that come out on the edges behind a big storm as it moves through ~

I love the feeling of being outside on my deck with cool tree breezes moving through the cove and birds signing their morning songs.

I sit high up in the tree tops and can hear the rain dripping through the layers of leaves as it falls toward the ground!

What a journey we have if only we “pause” enough to listen and see!

Blessings ~
My Haiku this morning ~
this is for our heart’s prayers.

Morning Inspirations

My poem ~ inspired by morning inspirations, Rev Pamela, Highlands Onocology

Open my eyes, ears and heart to listen

As I am in waiting for words and wisdom

While I’m searching for healing

With a touch of soft solace for my soul

I pray for abundant grace and mercy

I find you meeting me here today

As you wrap your arms around me

In sweet gentle love

~ by Joanie

Thank you Rev. Pamela for always giving much inspiration and encouragement to everyone that you meet.

Sun Sitting Still

Good morning from Rogers AR ~

I traveled into work today along Hwy 71 with the morning sun seemingly sitting still in a thick haze.

My morning writing ~

Quickened scenes
Heavy curtains fall
Sun rises through

What is it that makes a day work for you?

When you feel you just can’t handle it today ~ yet you go ahead and stay then move through ~ so you too can rise!

Brrr It’s Cold Outside ~ for #NaPoWriMo Day 7/15

Good morning from inside this morning ~ Freezing temperatures and grey clouds greet me. Who would ever know it’s really April by just looking outside?

My morning writing ~ 6 lines

Sitting inside
Looking outside

Bathed in greys
Water reflections of whole skys

All with the hint
of fresh spring greens

Spring Watch for NaPoWriMo Day 4/12

Good morning from the lakeside deck —
Sunshine greets me and its 65 degrees! Warm with a forecasted windy day and storms coming for tomorrow. However, now there is stillness and quiet air lays over Lake Ann, with a slight south wind. Birds seem to know something is on its way as they are all out and feeding. All of us are in anticipation of what will come later today.

Sitting Underneath #NaPoWriMo Day 3/11

This is a warm spring morning! It’s ALL GOOD . . .
Good morning from the lakeside deck – This morning’s write will be some short haiku as I have a full day.  Take good care and God’s blessing to all.

My prayers today go out to all those you are suffering from illness, war, and poverty.

Thinly veiled
Scattered gold sun rays
Pierce moments

Caught up in moments
“Please don’t take my life away”
Only you can see

You can see
My mind runs forward
Time will tell

Time chosen
Planes drop killing bombs
Children see

Pray for them
Sacred young children
Pray for them
