Written for @dVersePoets at OpenLinkNight this last Tuesday of January . . .
nestled days gone by
snowdrops fall and fall again
days grow longer and longer
now at the half-way mark
winter
turns toward spring
and I
wishing for
kindness of spirit
and lasting patience
finding rest
at the feet of my home’s hearth
enduring
waiting
willing
for flowers to bloom
pushing out from the frozen dark ground
from this winter’s barren soil
unfolding
a simple Irish wish
a spark for my spirit to do the same
bloom
bloom
bloom
even on the harshest winter day!
Ah everyone else has said what I was going to say. Never mind, beautiful work and yes, those single words got me too.

may spring find your spirit soon and allow it to bloom….
seasons come and seasons go, you know…
in nature and in life…
