Skylight

I live underneath a tree skylight

In a wonderland of woodland trees

Where spring waters flow into beautiful lakes

With ease and peaceful mornings

I touch the sky

Quickened sounds of birds & critters

Fill every crevice down sloping hillsides

Telling of safe maneuvers through rock & tree

With hope and comfort for coming days

I touch the earth

Sky

Step out into the sky . . .
Lash it around you
And hold it close
Swinging it to and fro
As you drop straight over
The White River bottom bridge …
Carrying the mighty sky with you
Listen to the meadow larks
As you watch
Giant double winged dragonflies
Fly through triple-wired fences
Strap summertime’s heavy sun
Next to you
As the wind carries you
And descends
Through tall grass rushes
Blowing along
Old Red Bird fields
Ride the Bright Blue Sky and
Fly the heavy Tossed Hot Summer winds
Traveling down country roads
Lite on sweet sunflowers & thistle blooms
As you make this
a most
glorious
high
summertime
day

Writing with my Mr Tom Hanxwriter again!

Today is cooler in the 60s and air and sunlight feels like
a hello to fall! Oh my, of course, it is my FAV time of the
year!

Getting ready and packed to go to Eureka Springs this
weekend thru next week! Will be working on producing
my first Chapbook at Writer’s Colony Residency!

I am so honored to be selected! The Writer’s Colony supports

My morning write ~
never let go
never quit

open to possibilities
stepping into your future
no matter your age!

and the beauty in life
regardless!

Good Morning from the Lakeside Deck

This morning I ventured down to our dock for my morning coffee.

It’s simply a perfect morning .~ mind you this is AR in July! ~ only 57 degrees with a high of only 81!

A most thoughtful Northerner came down for a good Southern visit!! A great July 4th week & weekend!!
Sending you big wishes for a fantastic 4th!!

My morning writing ~

I awake to an emerald blue sky
Tree shadows play
Along my bedroom walls
Oh my, what music befalls
An unsummoned symphony
In full three chorus refrain!

I live in the beautiful Ozarks
Across from Bear Point cove
On lovely Lake Ann ~

I hear the sky winds blow
As they travel through the mighty tree tops
Sudden gusts over the lake
Only to settle down to lay
Quiet & still in the bay

A lone grey heron flys low
Along the limestone ridge
Long neck tucked ever so
Flying straight ahead
Intent on getting to it’s
Destination!
