I Walk Alone

It’s hard to alone
I need shared moments spent together
I need the sun & moon, the sky & stars
I need blue skies smiling back at me
I saw a deer today along an Ozark pine ridge near Mountainberg
In every way I wanted you to be here beside me
How do I get past this
There is always a story unfolding
With an untapped fury
I convince myself in promised intentions
I walk alone with my hardwood trees & my woodland mysteries
Here I am not alone
But in the glory of the here & now!
