This winter solstice we have the conjunction of two planets, Jupiter and Saturn in the sunset southwestern sky. The two planets will appear as one bright star. It has been over 800 years since it was this bright & close to earth, the Christmas Star!

This morning write overlooking Lake Ann:

clear as cystal – – – shine on!
bright white sunlight streaks across the cove
in forever sun shine
like a million brillant stars
the sky winds carry the waters from one wave to the next
making a multitude of wind fans in every direction
pushing galaxies
swirling like clock work
toward the known shore
