Open Chiasm Day 5

April 5, National Poetry Month

There is a gulf between us
One of forced separation

We ask when . . .
When will we be able to
Stepping through this curtain of despair
To breathe again
To freely walk hand and hand
To open wide our arms in a warm embrace
Moving once more into the light again

I am I can I do I am!
Even in the dark
