I live up high in the Ozark trees
Where golden pine warblers perch on high
And their songs
run rampant through the trees.
I live up close
where I can meet the ancient skies
Adorned by white summer clouds floating by
Hallowed tree-framed windows
go straight up to the top of the world.
Where songbirds build their nesting homes
Feed and care for their young
And newborns learn to fly.
Leaving home to find their own homes
Parents don’t wait for their return – – –
Even in old age
When nature has completed its work
I choose to live
amongst new beginnings!

OK – I am taking that last line to heart – I need to remember to live among new beginnings – wonderful, wonderful, Joanie! K

Hello my dear Kathleen! So glad you stopped by — thank you for your kind words! I too have to remember to keep looking for ways to meet new goals and to allow myself to become who I am NOW! Take good care, Kathleen! -j
