Writing Notes:  Along the Lake Ann Oz Trails, at separate times throughout November, I paused to capture single, magical Ozark moments. Walking slowly and observing closely, I wrote to capture the moment in words, using short forms of poetry, such as haiku, and short poetic verses.

Smallstone:

There is nothing
as rich as
the morning dew

Tanka:

The frost
is like
fire and ice
spreading fast
through the dawn

Monostitch
This is a silvery mercury day.

Monostitch
November’s Orange Snow Moon.

Haiku: 5/7/5

Oh, the quiet breath
sweet romance November’s kiss
under the falling leaves

Smallstone:

November’s sky
and I
sitting in star shine
