WRITTEN WITH/FOR #OPENLINKNIGHT @dVersePoets
THIS THIRD TUESDAY IN JULY
A PLACE WHERE READERS & POETS MEET TO SHARE! –ENJOY
Hope~
fills anew
in new beginnings
and in new lands
amongst migrations of historic proportions
time ebbs in lunar months
Hope~
our destiny
shines forth
in billions and billions
of unseen stars
finding a place called home
among new found galaxies
and nine dimensions of space
Hope~
a place still awaits
to conquer our anguish
of inhumanity to humanity
the many lunar scapes
of forgotten moons
and amber encrusted nights
Hope~
sighting billions of sky moons
the launching of new discoveries
destiny finds new land and home
embedded in memories
from our collective past
imaginations
and shared nightly
inspirations
held eons ago
and long forgotten
Hope~
waits for us to catch up!
i hope so =)

Hope is the strongest passion to find and hold onto. The stars give is that intimation of a tomorrow that never ends. Your poem gives us a look into the desire for that infinite horizon.

yikes, I've been waiting for hope to find me this entire time; and here, hope has been waiting for me. I'm guessing we're in different waiting rooms.
I particularly like the second stanza.

I love that hope waits for us…and you give us such vast territory in which to hope…beautiful! A powerful and colorful tribute to man's dreams and hope. Great work here, Joanie!

Thanks Ed! I checked and yes somehow it got switched when I went in to my a word edit, so thanks for letting me know. Also, I changed “awaits” — waits is what it should have been.

Thanks Claudia! It is hard to define what gives us our hope! Know when it is not there – fear and many times violence!

Thanks Brian! Always hopeful in new discoveries and in our young generations!
Faith indeed in a brighter future.

strange, in the email version of this, stanzas 3 and 4 are switched. Strange. I like it switched, and for me the last two lines seemed to be a little too much, but if you were going to keep it, I think I would say
Hope~
waits for us to catch up!
not 'awaits.' 🙂
