I had to go into town today
To see my first mockingbird
In a hundred years
What is time anyway?
Present past future
Hours lingering replaced by days
I guess somehow
Time is gaining on me
I see more sunrises than sunsets
Traveling miles and miles
Time seems to be moving
Mighty fast these days
I want to see
Days familiar yet new
From where I used to know
Childhood memories turn into daydreams
Laying down underneath mighty oak tree branches
Where mockingbirds sing
