I search and search,
never knowing exactly what for.
Is it simply the choice to live a full life?
Could it really be that simple?
How can living feel right at all?
Does it take only one action,
a single decision, to go on—
to do the extraordinary,
to love joyously, in afternoon sunlight,
to give selflessly, like flowing water,
to help turn dark to dawn,
depth of despair to hope,
from the freezing rain of sadness to laughter?
How, despite everything,
when grief’s weight surrounds me,
should I move on to living my life?
I do carry your love with me always.
And still, I know,
I will meet you again,
at the top of a green Irish hill.
Dedicated to my sister Katy, who struggled to overcome breast cancer and then a brain tumor. Margaret Kathleen’s spirit was always one of a loving smile and kindness. She kept going one step at a time, with joy in her words and love in her heart!
I miss you!

Thank you Matthew! ~

It all just takes a simple decision. I like how it ends … on the hill!

This made me think of the prayer of St. Francis. The searching is what we're about, I believe.
